The Spartans Football Spring Camp is back for another year.

"There will be a couple of quick practices. We will go over some things and try to teach the basics of the game," explained Strathmore Spartans head coach Danny Warrack.

The Spring Camp is open to Strathmore High School (SHS) students in grades 9, 10, or 11.

"We will bring in some returning players that are coming back, and this 2-3 week camp can introduce football to any new players."

Warrack emphasizes the benefits of coming to the Spring Camp for new or returning players.

"For the new players, it's all about learning to be in that team environment, learning the basics of the game, and finding ways to improve."

Registration for the Spring Camp is $100, and that includes the following:

  • Team BBQ.
  • Football gear provided.
  • Team T-Shirt.
  • 12 Practices.
  • 1 Jamboree (3 Games).

"We do this every year, and it is part of our pre-season for the regular season."

According to Warrack, the Spartans need more than just players.

"We're always looking for coaches and volunteers. We could always use the help. We could use a couple more position coaches, and anyone who loves football is welcome to join."

The Spartans Spring Camp will run from May 30 to June 15.
