A 62-year-old motorcyclist that was involved in yesterday's bus collision outside of Irricana died on the scene. The driver of the school bus and two students on the bus were not injured.
On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at approximately 4:10 p.m., Airdrie Rural RCMP was dispatched to a collision involving a school bus and a motorcycle on Highway 567 and Range Road 270.
The investigation has revealed that both vehicles were westbound on Highway 567 when the bus slowed to make a left turn. The motorcycle attempted to pass the bus and collided with the front end of the bus.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased," stated a press release from the RCMP.
The RCMP stated that no further information will be released.
