Head down to the Lions Splash Park this Wednesday to get a cool treat this summer.

The Town of Strathmore and their partners from Strathmore FCSS, Trellis, 5 for Life Early Childhood, and the Strathmore Wheatland Wellness Resource Project, is celebrating with the community the summer season and renovations to the splash by offering free ice cream on July 6 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Manager of Communications for the Town of Strathmore Geoff Person said it will be a nice celebration of the waterpark and summer.

"Over the past three years the Town of Strathmore has invested in the Lions Splash Park with a new rubberized coating, enhanced tree care, bathroom improvements, and the newly paved parking lot. All of these improvements underscore the tremendous value this amenity provides to the community”.

In addition to free soft-serve ice cream, the town and its partners will be hosting games, activities, and crafts at the park.
