Alberta's vaccination numbers are on the rise, as of Nov.1, 80 per cent of eligible Albertans are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19 -- over 3.2 million people.

Over 87 per cent of eligible Albertans have received at least one dose.

It should be noted that these numbers only refer to Albertans aged 12 and older, with the full vaccination rate for the province's total population sitting at 67.9 per cent (as of Oct. 28).

Since the Restrictions Exemption Program (REP) was introduced in mid-September, around 264,000 Albertans received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccination, with 293,000 receiving their second dose.

As of Oct. 25, two doses and proof of vaccination are required to enter facilities participating in the REP.

The breakdown of active cases over the weekend across Alberta are as follows:

  • Friday, October 29: 533 cases
  • Saturday, October 30: 335 cases
  • Sunday, October 31: 342 cases

There are now 689 Albertans in the hospital due to COVID-19 with 157 Albertans in intensive care. Before the weekend, these numbers were 765 and 180 respectively.

• First doses given to 82.5% (+0.2%) of residents 12+.
