Kristina Micelli's grade one class at Sacred Heart Academy was January's Classroom of the Month, and the 104.5 More Country team visited them with pizzas from Boston Pizza!
So far 2023 has been off to a great start for Micelli and her students.
"The kids have been really great. We've been continuing where we left off in December and continuing to grow our brains and learn new things," she said.
Some class highlights for her included Rocks and Rinks, where the students learned about curling in the gym. Once they hit grade 4, they'll be able to curl on ice.
"We've also had guests teaching drumming this week, so the kids have been really excited about these extra music and phys-ed opportunities this week."
As for the rest of the school year, Micelli said she's excited for the holidays coming up like Valentines day and St Patrick's day, as well as an upcoming award ceremony assembly.
