The Bantam Badgers have players between the age of 13 to 15 years of age. The team has seen some highs and lows this year so far.  They won the first couple of games, but last weekend during a game in Red Deer, one of their quarterbacks broke his thumb. This has forced the coach to rearrange their line ups but they are confident that with some changes they can get their offense back online.

Head Coach Greg Zuagg said their running game is definitely something they are going to cultivate.   Each practice the team will run some drill and they will record the times, which has revealed that the team overall is faster this year.

Zuagg was especially impressed with a young player during their last match, "I have to give Austin McInnis some credit last week in the game against Notre Dame in Red Deer.  I don't know how he did it, but he ran through the entire middle of the field through both squads.  Somehow got untouched, and ran it in for a touchdown.  It was amazing to watch him dart back and forth, and just get through that crowd.

The team is also promoting their Badger Cards where you can get a coupon book to local Strathmore businesses, and a food donation drive.  Their next big home game will be at 1 P.M. at Crowther Memorial Junior High School field where they are looking to take down Ponoka.
