Hope for the Future and Strathmore Municipal Library are hosting a fun-filled family event on May 27th for the Strathmore community.

The event itself begins at 3:30 and will end at 5:30 and weather permitting, the butterflies will be released at 4:00 outside the library program room with the hope that they will make their homes in the raised garden beds at the library

In addition there will be, door prizes, refreshments and crafts for all ages.

This program is part of the Hope 4 The Future initiative. Audra Anderson who is helping coordinative the event explains the initiative.

“Hope for the future has three components to it. There's a senior component which is adults 55 and above, a youth portion to it, which is called building foundations and that is 15 to 24, then there's the third portion is parents of preschoolers, which we call pop. It is a grant-funded initiative that was brought about basically to help the community with living in recovery from COVID issues. So mental health, healthy living and community engagement.”

Hope 4 the Future is a community collaborative grant program and has hosted events for everyone from seniors to pre-schoolers all over Strathmore.
