On Friday, Connect First Credit Union will be inviting the public into their branches to come together and celebrate their one year anniversary of their brand's launch and transition from Chinook Financial to Connect First Credit Union.
The celebration will take place in all 41 of their branches across southern Alberta, but local residents in Strathmore and Wheatland County can stop by the branch in Strathmore and also the branch in the community of Hussar
We spoke with Strathmore Connect First Credit Union Branch Manager Shawndra Bodkin who explained that the credit union has a loyal following and a large group of membership here in Strathmore that were a part of Chinook Financial.
“We wanted to celebrate the launch of our new brand Connect First Credit Union where we all amalgamated into one official credit union.”
That process occurred last year in May. At the branch today there will be decorations and a cupcake cake for members as well as some coffee in the Strathmore branch.
“All of our branches, we've got at least 41 throughout southern Alberta and so, every branch is going to be celebrating with party favors and cake and coffee to celebrate with our members,” she said.
The festivities take place from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
