The Wheatland County Foodbank (WCFB) and the Strathmore & Wheatland County Christmas Hamper Society (CHS) are hosting their first annual charity golf tournament on June 23rd.
Support has been strong for the tournament; with a slate full of golfers and sponsors on every hole, CHS Chairperson Marilyn Galvin was very grateful for the community's involvement.
"The support is amazing in Strathmore, and we've got quite a few teams outside of Strathmore as well, which is wonderful. We've got quite a variety, that part is great, we couldn't ask for anything more. It's amazing the support that we've gotten for that." Galvin said
While it's great to see a full tournament, Galvin notes that more support is still needed.
"What we're now looking for is silent auction items that we're going to run from about noon until after the last golfers come in," she said.
