To celebrate a fantastic end to the summer reading program, the Chestermere Public Library is hosting a free wrap-up party on August 18 from 11:30-1:30 for the whole community.
The library's Marketing and Social Media Coordinator Spencer McDonald said Domino's Pizza Chestermere will be serving free pizza, and they will have fun for the whole family.
"We're gonna be doing some craft games and activities and give away prizes every 15 minutes. So just come by, get a door prize ballot, get a free slice of pizza, and enjoy some crafts and activities," she said.

Even though this is a wrap-up party for the summer reading program, McDonald said everyone is welcome to attend to join in on the fun. They will be giving away fantastic door prizes too that are suitable for young children all the way up to teenagers.
"We have some Lego sets, we got three of them. We've got a robot kit, build your own robot and program with it, we've got a scooter, and there is also a rock tumbling kit."
As for the summer reading program itself, McDonald said it was their best year ever. They shattered their previous reading record of 60 000 minutes, and with one week still left to go they're currently sitting at 69 000 minutes. They also had exceptional registration numbers; the children and adults programs combined for 430 people, and they had a great summer full of various activities.
McDonald added Domino's was actually the one that came up with the idea and approached the library, she is very grateful that they're helping host the party.
