These girls have something to smile about after winning their tournament last week.  The Black JV Volleyball team ate their Wheaties, and then hit the court to take no prisoners.   The Crowther Memorial Volleyball program supports two entire teams, JV Black and JV White.  The school hosted a 5 team tournament that saw the two home squads play each other, and overall the Black team placed 1st and the Red team won 3rd.  Other schools that competed included Linden, Wheatland Crossing and Trinity.  One of the coaches from Crowther, Sam Burton talked about the keys to their success, "I think both of our Crowther teams jus had really good sportsmanship.  They worked hard together to help each other to get to the ball as much as possible.  Both teams just did a really good job with their serving, some of the best passing we've seen from both of our teams, and some great hits as well which helped."

The teams play an in round-robin league and the top two teams will be playing each other for the Banner.  Burton describes the excitement leading up to the event, "Right now we are in the running, so it is going to come down to this week's games to see who is in first and second.  So it will be an exciting week for all the teams to see how the week will end off."  The team that comes in first will be the hosting school for that final game.
