Compliments Chili Powder has been recalled by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regarding a salmonella contamination. The chili powder with the best before date of 2020 MA 26, was recalled on September 6 by La Cie McCormick Canada.

According to the CFIA, individuals should not consume the product, and the chili powder should be thrown out, or returned to the store where it was purchased.

Individuals who think they have become sick after consuming the product are advised to contact a doctor. There are no reported illnesses connected to the consumption of the product.

According to the CFIA, food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled, but can still make you sick.
