Strathmore and area are under another heat warning, meaning the Town of Strathmore has once again opened a cooling station at the Strathmore Motor Products Sports Centre.

The temperatures we are experiencing this week are headed for the low to mid-thirties.

The cooling centre hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

An alert from the Town of Strathmore's Voyent Alert app asks residents to be mindful of the heat and keep these things in mind.

  • Avoid unnecessary travel or exposure to the outdoors.
  • Watch for signs of heatstroke.
  • Stay Hydrated
  • If you do not have a place to cool down, the Strathmore Motor Products Sports Centre located within George Freeman School at 1150 Edgeview Road Northwest, Strathmore will be open from 10 AM - 6 PM
