Music, food, and good times are ahead for those who have tickets to the Wheatland & Area Hospice Society Farming For Hospice Wrap Up Show on November 27 at the Strathmore Golf Course featuring Drew Gregory and friends.

We sat down with Gregory who explained that he and his wife Erinn really wanted to give back to the Wheatland & Area Hospice Society.

“Erinn worked with hospices before and is really passionate about having one here. Wheatland & Area Hospice Society have the Farming for Hospice, which is a great fundraiser where they take a quarter section of donated land and they utilize seed donated by local businesses and farmers and then harvest it.”

Drew and Erin Gregory are hoping to raise some money for an important cause.Drew and Erinn Gregory are hoping to raise some money for an important cause.

“Since we've gotten involved, we have learned so much. They are not only trying to build a hospice here in town but also do a lot of palliative work for in-home care. We're trying to bring a little more awareness to what they are doing, raise a few bucks, and have some fun in the process.”

In addition to the sold-out show, there are some other ways to get involved.

There are still acres available for people to sponsor for $300 for the Farming for Hospice initiative. The Harvest Wrap-Up Raffle is another way to support the Hospice Society. Up for grabs is a private concert by Gregory, food by Hunger Payne’s and beer from Origin Brewing. There is a second prize which is a private box suite for 8 at the Saddledome for a Flames game.

Gregory is excited to play some live music with friends once again. “We got Blake Reed who was just in town, but he'll be coming in solo and then Ryan Langlois, one of my good friends. He's an incredible songwriter and then Lindsey Butler, who's also been in and around town a little bit. Well, we wanted a bunch of small-town people that understand what it means to do fundraising in a small town.”
