It’s cool this morning in Strathmore and the dense fog from Tuesday has carried over to Wednesday morning. A new fog advisory was issued for Strathmore and area by Environment Canada on Wednesday January 16.The advisory covered Strathmore, Rocky View County near Chestermere, Siksika Nation, Vulcan County near Arrowwood, Wheatland County near Hussar, Standard , Gleichen, Lyalta and Carseland.

According to Environment Canada there is near zero visibility in the fog. In some parts of southern Alberta there is also a risk of patchy freezing drizzle. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.

For advisories are issued when near zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring.
