Drumheller RCMP and Police Dog Services have arrested three suspects following a break-and-enter.

On Sunday at 3:00 a.m., Drumheller RCMP received a complaint from an oil site company near Highway 9 and Range Road 21-4 in Kneehill County, indicating that security systems found that a break-and-enter was in progress.

Drumheller RCMP went to the area and found a vehicle near the site containing suspected stolen copper wire along with a woman who was then arrested.

The investigation determined that two more suspects were still on the loose and additional officers were sent out to find them.

At 4:20 a.m., a second person was arrested in the area.

The third suspect was located and arrested around 5:00 a.m. with help from RCMP Police Dog Services.

30-year-old Hailey Morrison of Drumheller, 38-year-old Brian Burrill of Drumheller, and 35-year-old Jessica Angel of Calgary were charged with the following:

  • Break and Enter.
  • Mischief.
  • Theft of Copper Wire.
  • Possession of Stolen Property.

Morrison and Burrill are scheduled to appear in Hanna court on June 26 for a bail hearing.

Angel was released from custody on a $500 Promise to Pay Release Order and is scheduled to appear in Drumheller court on July 12 to answer the charges.
