Strathmore Stampede may still be a few months away but rodeo and chuckwagon fans will be able to pick up tickets to the 2023 Stampede a lot earlier than usual, and just in time for the holidays!

In previous years Strathmore Stampede tickets have not gone on sale to the general public until February, with season ticket holders having access prior to general public release.

With tickets open to everyone earlier Events Coordinator with the Strathmore Ag Society Kate Dubois said season ticket holders do not have to worry.

"Season ticket holders are still going get the chance to purchase their tickets like they normally do, they'll have them blocked off until February third, and they won't have to worry about anyone grabbing their seats."

With planning already underway, Dubois said they will be announcing the headline act for the Stampede very soon and they will be set to perform on Friday night to kick off the weekend.  With family activities, musical acts, and entertainment throughout the weekend, there will be plenty for the families and rodeo fans in 2023.

With record numbers in 2022 the tickets will go quickly for 2023.

"The seated attendance was huge last year, it was a massive increase. We even noticed that with the rush on Friday and Monday the stands were packed in comparison to years before," said Dubois

Dubois added the team is always looking for new acts and entertainment and local arts are encouraged to reach out.

"People can call the Ag office at 403-934-5811, or reach out to myself of Meagan Dennett through the website and let us know what they do and we can see if it would be a good fit."

There are many ways to get involved with the Strathmore Stampede as a volunteer as well noted Dubois, explaining it is best to reach out to see where you can help during the Stampede weekend.

Tickets will go on sale this year on December 16 at strathmorestampede.com.
