The Strathmore Farmers Market is back by popular demand this year!

Strathmore Market Manager Tracy Yochim says that there is going to be a lot of new vendors this year and some repeat vendors as well.

"We are sticking to what we do best and that is bringing everybody local Alberta produce and goods, baking and all sorts of great things that everybody looks for at a farmers market."

This year Yochim says that she is expecting for the market to be bigger and better than ever. "We have already got a lot more vendors this year, so it is looking to be a very good turnout."

Last year was quite busy and Yochim just knows that a lot more people are going to be coming out and supporting them again this year and they are trying to build this market up higher.

"Sometimes when there are not a lot of shoppers, vendors tend to not stick around and they go and find an even bigger market, so we've been trying to build this one up so that we are one of the bigger markets so that we get these awesome vendors that people want to see."

Yochim's favorite thing when setting up the market is to chat with people from the community and see the local vendors.

"I love just seeing friendly faces and chatting with people. The more people the better so come out and support local come and check out all these wonderful vendors that work so hard at producing all these great items. I'm just looking forward to a really awesome summer this year"

The Farmers Market will be back on June 9 and will run until September 15 at the Kinsmen Park pavilion.
