A 24-year-old man from Brooks is dead after he was struck during a motor vehicle incident near Brooks on the weekend.
On Saturday, Aug. 6, at approximately 10:55 p.m., Brooks RCMP responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in which a pedestrian was hit. This occurred on Highway 539, just east of Range Road 165 in Newell County.
The 24-year-old male was struck by an east bound vehicle. He was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The investigation continues.
