Stampede Fright Night has arrived, the AG Society in partnership with creative director Christine Scott has prepared this year's Fright Night event, ‘Wake of the Dead’ thew are set to scare you from start to finish! The story starts at the Umbrella Corporation where something has gone terribly wrong and you will have to navigate yourself through the maze and avoid the Zombies along the way!

The team will be adding a few more things around the grounds and they will be back with Fright Night favorites, Events Coordinator Kate Dubois explained there will be a bit more added this year for returning and new visitors.

"In addition to our extra-large maze and the Lil’ Buckaroo Spook, Royal LePage will have their kids' area located in the Remuda Building, and the reps of Remax Key will be running the pumpkin carving area. Friday night will include a fireworks show and the band Envy will perform live on Saturday night. Like last year, a beer gardens will be available, with food trucks on site and a warming tent will be set up."

Events like Fright Night and Celebration of Lights, along with many others, are put on each year at the Ag Grounds with the help of committees and the Ag Society team. However, Miller says that none of this can happen without dedicated volunteers, stating that they want to bring more fun activities to the community and in order to do so their volunteers are key, "If anyone wants to volunteer this year they can call the office at 403-934-5811 or email info@strathmorestampede.com."

This year's Fright Night will be running for three days, Friday, October 28 from 4 to 10 p.m. with the Lil’ Buckaroo maze shutting down at 7 p.m. each night, Saturday, October 29 from 3 to 10 p.m., and Sunday, October 30 from 3 to 7 p.m.

Ticket information for General Admission and Maze costs can be found on strathmorestampede.com.

Dubois noted that patrons will only be able to access the maze once with the purchase of a “maze” ticket. General Admission tickets do not give access to any of the mazes but allow you to visit the other activities that will be available around the grounds.

In addition, this year there will be no set time slots that the organizers had to do last year to adhere to restrictions that were in place. Patrons can arrive when they please while being mindful of the hours of operation for the grounds & mazes.
