It is the last delivery of the Grain Rush season for the 104.5 More Country crew and the consensus among the farmers in the area is even with the heat wave in August and having to get started early, it has definitely been an improvement over last year.

For the last delivery sponsored by Crystal Ridge Dental, the crew headed out to G & D farms to visit Gerald Geeraert and his son Chris just outside of Rockyford.

This year was an improvement for the crew but Chris Geeraert said to be honest harvest for them was average at best, with over 1800 acres to farm they are coming down to the wire and have about 40 acres left before they put a wrap on harvest this year.

They are hoping to see a lot of extra snow this winter to help them kick off seeding next spring, but in the meantime they are getting in what they can to feed over the winter and get prepared for calving in the new year.

That is a wrap on the 2022 Grain Rush run, special thanks to all of the sponsors and to Wildfire BBQ for providing lunches for every crew who had rave reviews for the food everywhere the 104.5 More Country Crew went.

They will be back in 2023 for Seed & Feed!!!
