Tuesday the Calgary Police Service (CPS) were on scene at the U of C asa  shelter in place order was issued and was issued for approximately one hour and lifted at approximately 9:30 pm when police reopened the train station and cleared the scene. 

According to the CPS, officers were on the scene at the U of C campus late Tuesday evening investigating reports of a male with a knife.  It was reported that officers and campus security searched the campus but there were no signs of a man with a knife. 

There were no additional witnesses and there was no security footage of the suspect on the scene. 

However, according to the official U of C Twitter account, while the suspect had not been apprehended, Calgary Police reported that the individual had left campus. The security situation on campus had been cleared by CPS, officers continue to investigate.
