The Strathmore Stampede will play host to some exciting festivities from August 2-5. Below is a list of fun-filled activities you can take part in during the special event.

Rodeo and Chucks: The Rodeo and Chuckwagons have been in Strathmore for over 50 years. During the rodeo there will be bareback riding, bull riding, barrel racing, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping, novice bareback, saddle bronc, and breakaway roping. During the chuckwagon races there will be four wagons, drivers, and 16 horses during each heat as they will go through the figure-8 start in the infield and around the 5/8-mile track right in front of the crowd. Kim Bodeux, the events manager with the Strathmore Ag Society says the Rodeo and Chuckwagons is the third largest rodeo in Canada.

Friday Night Concert with Jade Eagleson: Country musician Jade Eagleson will perform on Friday night at 8:00 p.m. Eagleson is from Bailieboro, Ontario and has released three studio albums including: Jade Eagleson, Honkytonk Revival, and Do It Anyway.

Running With the Bulls: According to the Ag Society, around 70 runners will face three rounds of untamed bulls. The objective for participants is to be the most crowd entertaining runner alongside the bulls as a panel of judges and the fans will determine the winner.

Food Trucks: You can indulge in some delicious food as over 15 food trucks will be making their way to the Ag Grounds for the event.

Heritage Town: There will be carnival games, race cars, mechanical bull, a petting zoo and the arena. Along with stock dogs, trick riding and a whole bunch of other agricultural fun.

Lip Sync Battle: Get ready for a special Lip Sync Battle which is a great way for locals to showcase their talent. A total of 20 participants will be accepted and you have to arrive by 7:45 p.m. to check in with staff. One cover may be performed, and judges will decide on winners with cash prizes to be given out to the top three contestants. There is no fee, and you are encouraged to dress up. Family Friday: Free admission to the grounds for the day on August 2 along with free parking. There is also camping available on site for families.
