A regular show has turned into a community fundraiser for Otto Gentile CEO of the CanAm Wrestling. Gentile was initially planning a wrestling event to be held in Strathmore on March 18th when he heard what happened to a local family, Roy and Sandy Clark from Hillview, he wanted to do what he could to help.
"I reached out to the Mayor to ask about the family and said we could do something to help them out, we would like to try to help raise some money for the family so they can use it for whatever they need, “ explained Gentile.
The event will be happening on March 18th at the Civic Centre for those attending the event they can bring in donations such as hygiene products, and monetary donations. As well donations can be left at the Civic Centre while the event is happening.
The Clarks neighbour Brad Durnford is grateful to see the support for his neighbours as they go through this trying time, “This town is outstanding. The support that you get here, it really is unreal what support you get in this town.”
