A screening of filmmaker Trevor Solway’s ‘Intertribal Series’ will be held in Strathmore on September 28 at the Strathmore Municipal Library.

“We reached out to the filmaker because he is from Siksika originally,” explained Rachel Dick-Hughes director of library services at the Strathmore Municipal Library. The screening is being held as part of Strathmore’s culture days celebrations.

The documentary showcases the talent indigenous musician from Treaty 7.

We are very excited to screen it here. I think it will have a lot of interest and I am hoping that people will come out to celebrate indigenous culture as part of our culture days festivities,” said Dick-Hughes.

Afterwards Solway will be on hand to answer questions from the public.

“It’s a great opprtunity for anybody who is interested in meeting him,” she said.
