The Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada (CPSAC) and Car Seat Techs of Alberta, in conjunction with 5 For Life Early Childhood, held a Car Seat Clinic at the Strathmore Fire Department on July 13.

The car seat techs at the clinic helped to show parents the proper way of installing car seats in their vehicles. Parents had the chance to install the car seats themselves after being shown how to.

5 For Life Early Childhood and Strathmore Hand In Hand Parent Link Centre helped to entertain kids while their parents were being shown about car seat safety.

One fact I learned at the car seat clinic, which blew my mind, was that 90 per-cent of car seats are installed improperly.

For those who missed out on the Car Seat Clinic, you can contact Abbie McCullough from Strathmore about an appointment to help get your car seat installed properly.
