Lakeview developers were tasked to find out more about the potential effects of changing the Area Structure Plan to make provisions for a private, swimmable, recreational lake in the middle of the new community.  They were to consult with the surrounding landowners to determine if the stormwater pool would be efficient for the needs of the surrounding properties if the new Lake was installed.

The Lakeview Administration said "This is a very viable proposal, that there will be no impact on the existing infrastructure, that there will be no impact on the town in regards to a future storm water agreement between the WID and Lakewood Meadows, that there is a topographical map which indicates the location of the 40 acres of land in question (it was attached), and that there were no significant concerns with this proposal by emergency services."

The question was put to Council if they support the vision of this Area Struct Plan and council voted unanimously in favor and the Third Reading was read and approved unanimously as well.
