When we saw the Over The Hill Scooter Gang on the streets of Strathmore Allie knew she needed to find out more, and this story turned out to be one of top feel good stories in 2021!

Original story posted June 2, 2021

There is a new gang that has formed in Strathmore that is not to be messed with. They have been described as dangerous, tough as nails and they have a temper that would make the Tasmanian Devil shake in his boots.

Victor Cossette is the muscle of the group. He is known to always keep everyone in line.

They have recently been spotted riding their machines all across Strathmore causing a lot of looks from the general public.

They have named themselves the “Over The Hill Scooter Gang,” and their clubhouse is the Wheatland Lodge.

Gang member, Allan McKinnon, explained that the gang formed over a good cup of joe.

“Three of us sit together at the same table and we kind of talked about it. Then, Brittany at the front desk said we should have a flag, so that's kind of where it started. Brittany made up our flags for us.”

Currently, there are four members of the gang and they enjoy heading out each day and cruising the sidewalks on their scooters.

“You know Strathmore has the best trails. Anybody that drives around in a cart never realizes how many there are. They are all over, and there are new ones being made every week,” he continued.

McKinnon and the rest of the group explained that they get a lot of honks when they are out on the road. They said they always wave back and are happy to see people.

The gang has been very popular as they have three new “patch” members coming in to join them on their daily scoots through the town.

The entire gang is glad that they can get outside and enjoy the scenery after a long year and a half of the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you ever see this flag, be sure to wave to this unruly gang of scooters!
