Today we headed East past Standard to Parflesh Farms for our Seed and Feed delivery powered by JMR mechanical with lunch from Mikes Bar and Grill, owner Craig Christensen and his crew managed to wrap up their seeding season just in time for last night's rain.
Parflesh is a family farm that has been operating in the area for over 100 years and has no signs of slowing down.
Farming 11,000 acres of wheat, barley, canola and peas definitely keeps the crew busy, and with that done now the focus will be on spraying, equipment maintenance and generally getting everything ready for when the fall rolls around and the crew heads back out for what they hope to be a good harvest this year.
The crew was right on schedule this year even with a few breakdowns, mother nature cooperated and now the crew just wants some more of that wonderful rain we had over the last couple of days!
