With a love of cars passed down from her dad and her daughters stay at the NICU, Dalia Cheshire hosted her annual show and shine in support of The Ronald Mcdonald House

Cheshire is the owner of The Rockyford Hotel and Triple B Taverns and held another successful Show & Shine event this past weekend.

Cheshire grew up going to racetracks with her dad and learning all she could about cars. She has taken that passion and held the annual Rockyford Show & Shine fundraising event for the past five years. She purchased the Rockyford Hotel and Tavern in 2012 and in 2014 she started a poker run and over the last 5 years it has become the Show & Shine event. Each year a new charity is chosen to support, " I try my best to find charities in the area to support and offer help where we can" says Cheshire.

This year the chairty of choice was The Ronald McDonald House, Cheshire holds a special place in her heart for this organization. When her daughter Aliya was born she was a micro preemie, with the support of the NICU and the Ronald McDonald house Cheshire and her family were able to stay in Calgary to be close to her daughter.

The annual show and shine was held on August 11th and was able to raise $750. With 35 participants, from as far as Edson, she was happy to see so many car enthusiasts there to support this years charity

“I go to all the car shows within a 100km radius of Rockyford and hand out flyers and invite the participants to come out, and with the support of the business’s in surrounding communities and my friends we are able to put this together each year”.
