Local minor hockey players, and staff from Strathmore’s Scotiabank branch gathered on Thursday afternoon as Scotiabank made a $1,000 cash and gear donation to Strathmore Minor Hockey Association.

Strathmore minor hockey players, and Nicole Robinson were there to accept the cheque and gear on behalf of the minor hockey association.

Branch Manager Michelle Bissett explained how the staff at the branch feels about the donation, “We’re very excited to be a part of this. It is something that Scotiabank is able to contribute to our hockey teams within our communities. We have a donation that we are able to present to the teams that they can then use for things that they need. We also have some team kits that we are able to provide to the kids, which includes hockey pucks, toques, and some other little gear that they will need throughout their hockey season,” she said.
