Calgary police said that a woman and child who were reported missing on Sunday, September 11, 2022, have been located safe.

Calgary Police are continuing the search for 20-year-old Betty Bruno and her two-year-old daughter, Abyanna, and are reaching out to the public in the hope of locating both mother and daughter. 

The two were travelling from Edmonton to Calgary approximately 1 week ago, as Betty was set to begin post-secondary classes in Calgary. 

"Betty and her daughter are believed to have been seen in the Kensington area of Calgary, Saturday, September 10. Police and her family are concerned for their wellbeing," stated a Calgary Police press release.

Betty is described as 5'6, 103 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, and Abyanna is described as 3', 28 pounds with light-brown hair and brown eyes. 

Police expressed that even though this particular case doesn't meet the criteria of an Amber Alert they are in contact and working with the Missing Children Society of Canada in hopes of locating Abyanna as soon as possible.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either Betty or Abyanna is asked to contact the police by calling 403-266-1234. Tips can be also submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers online, or by calling 1-800-222-8477.
