A break in the thunderstorms allowed some great golfers in the 50 years and plus range hit the links for the Strathmore 50+ golf tournament. 

Matthew Link CPGA Assistant Professional / A.G.M. of the Strathmore Golf Club said, "We have about 80 golfers out there today.  We are blessed with some sunshine and we have some pretty good player and no favorites.  It is going to be a pretty good day."

There were some strong efforts in the men's and ladies pools, that even resulted in a tie, that needed to be broken.

For the ladies bracket, Deb Dancey Gross score of 83 and won through a play-off against Cathy Spicer.

The playoff game format is used to break a tie after 18 holes, where the golfers will continue to play holes until someone gets a better score. 

In the men's division,  Randy Deeg won with a  gross score of 69, which is 3 under PAR

The Club Championship is the next big tournament that is played among members only this July 20, and 21.
