A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Rocky View County near Chestermere, Dalroy and Dalemead and Wheatland County near Strathmore, Lyalta and Carseland.

Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to toonie size hail and heavy rain.
One thunderstorm is located near Delacour, and the other thunderstorm is located 5 km west of Gayford. Both thunderstorms are heading to the east at 40 km/h.

Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!
