On March 30, Siksika Nation's Director of Emergency Management provided Nation members with an update on the status of services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

All pubic spaces on the First Nation are now closed. The First Nation is under a State of Local Emergency.

They suggest community members limit all public gatherings, that includes work, funerals, and faith-based activities. Gatherings should be restricted to less than 10 and should have adequate hand-washing/sanitizer for individuals. People should also be practicing social distancing of two meters between individuals. People who are sick are asked to stay home.

All activities at the Deerfoot Sportsplex have been suspended.

Food establishments are limited to only takeout or delivery, but gas stations and grocery stores, including those on Siksika Nation, remain open.

Emergency Management asks people to avoid all non-essential travel outside of Siksika Nation.

Siksika Nation has a COVID-19 Response Unit (CRU) that can assess individuals with symptoms of COVID-19 in their homes 24-hours a day and seven days a week.
