The Strathmore High School (SHS) Spartans Football team (3-3) is flying high after earning their third win of the season last week against the Drumheller Titans. They're now on a two-game win streak and will look to make that three in a row when they travel to Canmore to take on the Wolverines.

Head Coach Danny Warrack said the Spartans have experience against the Wolverines, but they shouldn't expect the team to look similar.

"We played them last year, from what I hear they've improved quite a bit from last year. I think we beat them 60-0 last year, I know they played Drumheller this year, they had a pretty close game. I think they're going to be a much improved, scrappy team."

A 60-0 win from last season would appear to indicate another blowout is on the way. While that's definitely a possibility, Warrack thinks the Wolverines will be a tougher challenge this time around.

"One year can make a big difference, I remember Canmore had a really young team last year so they got some guys that have probably developed quite a bit and I expect them to give us a pretty good game."

If the Spartans make it three wins in a row, it would be a drastic turnaround from their three-game losing streak earlier in the year. With the defense steadily improving and the offense evolving with Dylan Elliot at quarterback, it's possible that the Spartans will be enjoying more success in the games to come.
