Learn needle craft, meet new people and have fun with Stitch Together each Thursday morning.

Stitch Together is a group of people that meet on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the library fireplace in the Lambert Centre. It’s a casual group who meet for conversation and needle work.

The group is free to attend. Anyone can join. The group is held on a drop-in basis.

Participants learn to crochet, knit, cross-stitch and complete other embroidery.

There are knitting needles, crochet hooks and yarn available. There are approximately 20 women and one man who are currently members. Participants create projects for themselves and collectively as a group. Stitch Together group members also donate some of their works to charity.

In the fall of 2017, the group created 13 blankets that were donated to the Strathmore Overnight Shelter.

Stitch Together meets each Thursday through until June 27.
