The Strathmore Wheatland Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first-ever tradeshow.

This event, which will be one of the first large-scale in-person events in the community since the pandemic will feature entertainment, vendors, a farmers' market and food trucks.

“We are very excited and honoured that we were able to put on a tradeshow for this area. It is the first for us,” said Hayley Poirier, Chair of the Strathmore Wheatland Chamber of Commerce.

She explained that the event is so unique because it’s one of the first in-person events in the community.

“I think first of all is because the world’s finally opening up so there is something to that, having people have the ability to get out and see what different businesses are doing and enjoy a trade show is really unique. It's going to be something people can look forward to.”

Visitors won’t have to travel to take in the big shows you find in places like Calgary or Edmonton.

The venue for the show will be the Strathmore Motor Products Sports Centre from May 28 to 29th 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“We're going to have industrial, commercial, retail, entertainment, and restaurants all under one roof. There will also be agricultural and industrial aspects to the tradeshow to help represent the Wheatland region.

There will be a more intimate feel to the event. The tradeshow is open to any businesses to register. Registration information can be found on the Chamber’s website at theswcc.ca. There will be a discount for chamber of commerce businesses.
