The Strathmore Minor Hockey Association will be hosting the Midget A Provincials from March 21 to 24.

Tournament Fundraiser Chair Kirstin Langen-Boucher talked about provincials. She mentioned there is going to be lots of good hockey. Since any teams that are at provincials will have to go through provincial playdowns, the crowd will be able to see the best teams from the different zones of alberta play in Strathmore.

Langen-Boucher said she is very excited about hosting provincials. She thinks that it will be a good experience for the Strathmore Minor Hockey Association Midget A team, especially since this is the last year for some of the players since a lot of those kids are third year kids.

Coach for the Midget A team, Ron West, said he is very excited to host provincials. West mentioned when he first told the team that they had put Strathmore’s name in to host provincials, the team was very pumped and hoping. West also said that he thinks provincials will bring a lot of people into town, and that it is a great way to showcase the town.
