The Strathmore Ice U19B ringette team had another great weekend they headed out to Lethbridge to play in a Sunday doubleheader.

Game 1 was very intense for the team, by the end of the 1st period the Ice were trailing 6-3. At the 12 minute mark of the second period after strong defending from the ICE they scored there 4th goal and fifth goal just before the end of the second period. The team came out determined in the third with a strong defensive period for both teams the game remained at a score of 6-5 until there was only 14 seconds left and the ICE scored to end the game in a 6-6 tie.

There was a two hour break before the next game and the team was on the comeback high but also there was a level of anxiety going into game two. The teams stepped back onto the ice for game two and you could feel the tension from all the players, Strathmore came out strong with grit and determination at the end of the first period they were sitting on a 6-0 lead. In the second period, Lethbridge answered back with four goals of their own, not to be outdone Strathmore matched their four goals in the 2nd period.  At the end of game two Strathmore Ice wrapped up the doubleheader with a 10-4 win.

Strathmore headed home with a tie and a win from another successful weekend.
