The Rocky View and Wheatland Employment Services held their second job fair at the Strathmore Municipal Library.  There were 21 employers on site, which was one more compared to the last job fair held last Fall.  The exhibitors ranged from McDonald's to Laser-Fab, an industrial laser cutting and fabricating shop that operates just off Huxted Road.

Abigail Gonzalez, Program Manager for R W Employment Services said, "We expect to see over 200 Albertans at this job fair." She explained that there were opportunities for seasonal, full-time, and part-time employment as well as local employment.

Some of the seasonal employment opportunities include landscapers and Summer Programming and Recreational Leaders for the Town of Strathmore.

Employers who could not make the event, can contact the Employment Service directly and access the Company Connector, which is a private hiring event free of charge to the hiring company.

There will be a third job fair in the future because the need is so great that three companies had to be put on a wait list to be able to become exhibitors.
