The Strathmore Junior Venom lacrosse team took on the Calgary Axemen during Wednesday nights home game. By the end of the match, victory went to the Axemen.

The first period started off with a goal for the Calgary Axemen, which was closely followed up with a goal from Venom by Zack Cull from Quaid Burkholder. The Axemen retaliated with scoring two more goals during the period. Before the end of the period, Venom earned their second point by Riley Gallant from Zack Cull and Quaid Burkholder, which closed off the first period 2-3 Axemen.

The second period had a fast start, with a goal for the Axemen right at the beginning of the period. The Axemen got another goal later into the match. Venom fought back with an unassisted goal by Quaid Burkholder. The Axemen earned three more goals, before Venom broke their streak with a second unassisted goal by Quaid Burkholder. Before the end of the period, Venom earned one more point by Riley Gallant from Quaid Burkholder, which ended the second period 5-8 Axemen.

The third period was fast paced, with the first point of the period happening near the halfway point from the Axemen. The Axemen earned another goal, which Venom followed up on by earning their first goal of the period by Ethan Gallant from Quaid Burkholder and Riley Gallant. The Axemen earned one more goal in the period, before Venom earned their last goal of the match by Zack Cull; and Ryan Fleming. By the end of the game, victory went to the Axemen 7-11.

The Strathmore Junior Venom lacrosse team is going to be taking on the Medicine Hat Sun Devils for their next game on June 8.
