You’ve got until December 8th to bid on a variety of interesting items and while you’re at it, support the Strathmore Overnight Shelter.

The online auction runs until December 8.

Pastor Elizabeth Karp, executive director for the Strathmore Overnight Shelter speaks about how the auction has gone so far. “We’ve just put it on and I think it’s been pretty good so far for the items we put on it’s not too bad.”

“These were items that were donated by people and businesses to raise money for the shelter, so you just go online and you can bid on it,” she said.

“It’s all kinds of different items like there’s a quilt that is home-made, and there are items that were donated from different places and businesses that have supported us,” she said.

She explained that the items that are featured are items that were donated by individuals and local businesses in order to raise funds for the shelter.

In order to participate visitors just go to the Strathmore Overnight Shelter Facebook page.

“You’ll see the items on there, and you just click on it and you can be the next bidder. You will see what the other bids are, and then once you start bidding if someone else bids higher then it will come back to you and say ‘somebody just bid on this do you want to bid more?’”
