Strathmore RCMP received a report of fire at Crowther Memorial Junior High School around midnight on April 23rd, the Strathmore Fire Department was on scene and extinguished the fire to a rear portable classroom, they discovered indicators that the fire had been set purposefully.

Preliminary damage has been estimated at close to $100,000, during this time there were also multiple acts of vandalism in the Strathcona area. These incidents are believed to be connected.

Video footage from the area has been obtained which captured two male suspects near the location of the fire when it was reported.  One suspect is described as wearing an orange hoody, black pants, red shoes, and wearing a backpack. The second suspect has a black beard and is seen wearing a black long-sleeved Carhartt brand sweater jacket, ball cap with a red brim, and black pants.


Strathmore RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the persons depicted in the attached photos, to provide any video footage they may have to assist in the investigation or provide any information available to assist in identifying those responsible for this incident.
