Yesterday was National Impaired Driving Enforcement Day.
Alberta RCMP officers were working conducting checkstops all across Alberta.
On his way to the checkstop briefing Cst Kerwin Brown from Alberta RCMP Traffic Strathmore stopped a speeder who was doing 113 km/hr in 80 km/hr zone.
Mandatory Alcohol Screening (MAS) was conducted and the driver blew a fail.
Impaired Roadside Sanction (IRS) fail placed the driver under a 90 day suspension where they are unable to drive under any circumstances.
