Strathmore RCMP are investigating two incidents that are believed to have occurred in the last week.

According to Strathmore RCMP Detachment Commander Staff Sgt. Mark Weilgosz, in the first incident, it’s believed that in the early hours of Saturday, June 4 RCMP responded to an incident involving bear spray being used at a rural property.

The incident occurred near Township road 240 and Range Road 253. It's believed someone emerged from the bushes during a party and deployed bear spray. Ten youth were treated on the scene. Strathmore RCMP are investigating the incident and are asking the public if they have any information regarding either incident to contact local police, or if you wish to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers.

The second incident was a break-in at a nail salon. It’s believed that on June 4th there was a break-in at Minosa Nails and Spa in Ranch Market in Strathmore. It’s been reported that thieves took change, gift cards, a cheque book, and a debit machine.

The matter is still under investigation.
