On May 1st, 2022 a rural resident in Wheatland County reported an incdent where their dogs had been shot.

The dogs wandered off of their property on April 29, 2022 and returned on May 1, 2022 with significant small calibre shotgun wounds.

Both received veterinary treatment and are recovering.

The two dogs are Kangal Shepherds blonde in color with dark face markings. They would have been in the area of Range Road 253 and Township Road 240 South towards Glenmore Trail. Both are described as non aggressive.

The matter remains under investigation to determine the circumstances around the injuries and who may have been involved.
