The U16 Strathmore Thunder girls team honoured two key people of the team by wearing pink uniforms.  Assistant Coach Kim Stanlake-Cammer and Tanya Molnar had breast cancer, and the team dedicated their last home game of the season to two very special women and softball moms.

Rhonda McCoomb from Rebel Sports Apparel and Michelle Morton of Bella Designs both pitched in to supply the pink uniforms.

Dawn Gibson one of the parent volunteers said, "It was a little emotional, and we got a few cheers, and lots of smiling faces.  We are just very proud that they are a part of our softball family, and our team and continue to support us.  It was just a great way to finish off our regular season."

Their last game is June 19, in Calgary in the Glenbrook area.

In addition to the support from the team another Fastpitch member made a generous donation, Gibson mentioned, "I would like to say thank you to Lanky Johnson from Thunder Fastpitch, for his continued support.  The team did buy the t-shirts, but he wanted to cover the cost of the shirts and that is very nice."
