Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) issued a snowfall warning for Strathmore and the surrounding area. 

Two to four cm of snow is expected today and 10 to 15 cm this evening.

The high for today is -1 C with a northeast wind of 20 km/h. The temperature will fall to -3 C this afternoon.

The snowfall warning includes but is not limited to:

  • Strathmore
  • Lyalta
  • Carseland 
  • Standard 
  • Gleichen
  • Hussar
  • Rocky View Co. near Chestermere, Dalroy and Dalemead
  • Siksika Nation
  • Vulcan County
  • Bassano

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead, and be prepared to stop.
