December 20th was the last time that kids at the Strathmore Municipal Library could hunt for Chester The Elf on the Shelf before he made his way to the North Pole for Christmas.

Santa's helpers at the Strathmore Library are also getting ready for Christmas and the facility will be closing for the season on Thursday, December 23 at 7 p.m. but the facility will reopen to the public on January 3, 2022, at 10 a.m.

During that period the outdoor book drop will be open for library users to return items. Larger items like those in the Smore Stuff Collection cannot be dropped off in the book drop. No items are due over the holidays.

In the meantime, there is always time to make a donation to the Strathmore Municipal Library and have your name added to the library’s Book Case Donor Wall. The donor wall is located by the computers in the library building and features the names of donors to the facility.

When the library reopens in the new year the current art exhibit will be available for viewing until January 31st.
